Business, Career and Life Coaching

for Clear Creek Makerspace Members

Clear Creek Makerspace Member Support

As a fellow maker and coach, my goals are to help makers:

  • balance work, life and their time for holistic, creative wellbeing

  • feel confident about their inner artist and craft

  • see the possibilities of, and then take action on, turning their passions into a business

  • create a community that people want to show up for through collaborative co-creation and conversation

I’ll be hanging out in the space; hosting workshops and group coaching; and am available for 1:1 coaching as well.

Learn more about coaching and how it might help you reach your goals with a quick chat with Kate (set up a phone call or find me in the makerspace!). If it feels like a good fit, we can get into details from there.

1:1 Coaching

Coaches are partners to help create clarity, move you to action and accelerate your progress by providing greater focus and awareness of all the ways to create fulfilling lives and careers.  We ask the tough questions that guide you to craft deeply resonating answers and actions.

Workshops & Group Coaching

The wonderful part of this Makerspace is that you are not alone! Workshops and group coaching are chances for individuals from different backgrounds to share challenges and best practices in service of transversal developmental goals – such as becoming a professional maker or navigating life as a creative. It’s also an opportunity to get-to-know and co-create your community while developing and practicing new competencies.

SCHEDULE *STARTING MAY 2024

Group Coaching (60 minutes)

  • 3rd Wednesdays @ 6:00 PM

Workshops (60-90 minutes)

  • Workshops will guide participants in focused learning, development and conversation on specific topics, where I - along with additional subject matter experts at times - will provide specific guidance and resources; and answer your related questions. Think everything from the maker’s mindset and burnout management to how to write a business plan; nuts & bolts of starting a business; building a brand; and marketing strategy.

  • In group coaching, I hold a safe - courageous - space for effective emotional processing, thinking and brainstorming to facilitate discussion, integration and growth on the topics that matter most to the community.

For instance, navigating the day-to-day pressures, stressors, challenges and opportunities - both those “real” and those we create for ourselves. It’s ongoing support to set and hold boundaries so you have time to be a maker. It’s an ongoing mindfulness and progress check-ins. It’s your built-in support system.

CLEAR CREEK MAKERSPACE IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY: LOCALWORKS

I’m able to do this work with CCM’s Growing U educational programming thanks to Localworks, a 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to make Wheat Ridge a more vibrant and sustainable place to live and work by bridging the gap between budding entrepreneur and small business owner.

Growing U provides workshops, resources and micro-funding grants to propel Clear Creek Makerspace members forward. From crafting a product that people share with their friends and family to potentially launching a small online shop, individuals have the opportunity to transition their skills into a budding small business, should they decide to take that step. We recognize that among those who make use of Makerspaces, and based on statistics from the maker phenomenon, a significant portion of this demographic may not have received the necessary educational resources to transform their hobbies or passions into careers that can sustain themselves and their families. As CCM is forecasted to be the leading edge makerspace in the Denver Metro community, Growing U will bridge this gap and will be an incubator for small business creation.
